HOW DOES LED PHOTOTHERAPY WORK?

While we often associate light exposure with negative effects such as skin ageing and damage, light also has many positive influences on the body. It helps us produce vitamin D, provides energy and serotonin.

It fuels and stimulate skin cells to re-energise and encourage growth to work more efficiently and promote collagen rejuvenation

Different types of light stimulate different responses, so while ongoing exposure to UV is very damaging, controlled levels of near-infrared, blue and red light are clinically proven to be beneficial.

THE PROCEDURE

Dermalux® is a pain-free and safe treatment which is suitable for all skin types and is administered using targeted and clinically proven wavelengths.

The concentrated light energises cells and stimulates the natural regeneration process – skin cells that are energised function better and can regenerate up to 200% faster resulting in a more youthful, clearer and vibrant complexion.

During and after the treatment your skin may feel warm and you may notice some redness, but this will resolve quickly. Normal skincare regimes can proceed immediately.

  • Dermalux ACTIVATE Plan – An intensive 6 week programme of 12 Dermalux treatments is highly recommended for a dramatic improvement in the appearance and health of the skin. Results are can last up to 12 weeks following the ACTIVATE Plan and booster treatments are advised to maintain results.
  • Dermalux BOOSTER Plan – Individual Dermalux treatments energise the skin to instantly revitalize the complexion, replenish vital hydration and restore luminosity. Booster treatments are recommended monthly as required.
  • Dermalux COMBINE Plan – An add on to maximise the results of our advanced collagen stimulation treatments i.e. HydraMedi, Dermapen, Mesotherapy,  CACI, Peels, Environ Advanced Vitamin Facial etc.
